Abilities/Weapons:
Shide no Hagoromo: Cloak of Death. With this floating veil, Shishiwakamaru envelops his opponents and sends them off to another place--maybe even another world, he does not always control where the victim is sent.
Makokumeizanken: The Wailing Vorpal Sword. Shishiwakamaru draws the two halves of Makokumeizanken's hilt apart, revealing a core of melted, groaning skulls shaped from pink ooze. These belch forth glowing spirits which circle Makokumeizanken and add to Shishiwakamaru's power.
When Shishiwakamaru twirls Makokumeizanken above his head like a baton, its piercing moans make its listeners double over in agony.
Bakutodokushokusou: Roughly, the "split open and vomit forth skulls which bury whatever they touch" attack. It does exactly that: When Makomeizanken hits, the explosion of raw ki splits open the ground, and howling skulls fly out of the blast and start eating whatever they touch. They have a fondness for heads.
Onkoshoubakuheki: By thrusting Makokumeizanken into the ground, Shishiwakamaru can create a wall of rushing ki. He uses it to keep his speedier opponents in place while he takes Makokumeizanken to them.

Background
Shishiwakamaru first appeared as the leader for the Uraotogi team during the Dark Tournament. Despite his pretty looks, Shishi is not happy when Yusuke calls him a pretty boy when the Uraotogi team passes by the Urameshi team, and in his anger sprouts horns. Later he takes on the tiny form of an imp and he can shift forms at will during the Makai Tourament.
But the Uraotogi team is defeated in the semi-finals of the Dark Tournament despite the items Suzuki gave the team members. Shishi fights against Kuwabara and wins after vanishing Kuwabara with his Cloak. Shishi taunts Kuwabara throughtout the fight, being arrogant that he is. But Shishi is defeated by Genkai, ending the fight by commenting on her beauty before passing out.
He reappears before the Makai Tournament to be trained by Genkai to work for Yomi. But in Gandara, when Kurama asks who they will support, Shishi votes 'Undecided' but Suzuki writes in 'Yusuke', much to Shishi's annoyance. He wins his first fight in the Makai Tournament but loses against one of Raizen's monks.
Shishiwakamaru is based off of the samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune or Ushiwakamaru as the rest of the Uraotogi team (with the exception of Suzuki) take after other mythological figures.
Personality
Shishiwakamaru is a rather complex character. At the start of the Dark Tournamet, he is very arrogant and determined to get what he wants. But despite his pretty boy appearance, he does not like to be called such. When Yusuke comments on this, he gets very nasty and sprouts horns. But despit this, he is very proud of his fangirls who in the midst of a bloodthirsty crowd of demons, cheer him on. During his fight with Genkai, he is again very arrogant and assured that he will win, determined even after Genkai knocks him on his butt. At the end of the fight though he admits that he could have fallen in love with her...if she was young looking all the time which is an indication of how shallow Shishi is.
Shishi is rather close to Suzuki though but even so, he still is snappy towards the other. Shishi speaks in samurai or Heian Japanese which is rather formal and the way he fights indicates that he knows kendo. He has a very short and nasty temper but is determined to be famous, even when Genkai defeats him.
Shishi also looks down on humans, as evident from his fight with Kuwabara and insults Kuwabara about his looks and intelligence throughout the round.
But despite his arrogance and temper, Shishi is clever when he has to be, shifting to his imp form when he is swallowed during the first round of the Makai Tournament to win.
